The Drop

Six celebrities. Four nightmare locations. One way out. A host takes six celebrities on a road trip into the dark, dropping them at locations steeped in sinister stories. Every sound becomes a threat. Every shadow raises a question. They can press the panic button and leave, but staying means keeping their fear under control. Their heartbeats decide who goes home.

The Format

An abandoned building. A disturbing history. And a night you desperately want to end. In The Drop, a host leads six celebrities through four increasingly terrifying locations. Each comes with its own stories of hauntings and unexplained events. When darkness falls, chance decides who must go inside. Once dropped, participants confront the location, its stories and their own imagination. A panic button offers an immediate escape, but pressing it means leaving the competition. If nobody gives in, the highest recorded heart-rate peak decides who goes home. As the group gets smaller, the road trip gets darker. Who can hold their nerve when their own body threatens to give them away?

How we made it

We took a horror concept developed over four YouTube seasons and expanded it into a four-part reality competition for Videoland. Celebrity participants, escalating locations and elimination stakes turned individual overnight experiences into one continuous road trip. The tension comes from the people as much as the places. Bravado gives way to doubt. Small sounds become impossible to ignore. In the edit, we used pacing, silence and reactions to let that fear build, giving each location its own atmosphere while carrying the story across episodes. The panic button makes escape a choice. Heart-rate monitoring makes fear part of the game.

Content discovery

You can’t fake fear. A scream. A sudden jump. Someone reaching for the panic button. The reactions in The Drop became the heart of our social campaign. We turned those moments into short-form content that put viewers straight into the tension. Each clip delivered a scare and left a question: what happened next Social content was central to driving audiences to the full episodes on Videoland. The reaction stopped the scroll. The story gave people a reason to press play.
